Florida Panthers President of Hockey Operations & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the Panthers have acquired Eetu Luostarinen along with forwards Erik Haula and Lucas Wallmark and defenseman Chase Priskie from the Carolina Hurricanes in exchange for forward Vincent Trocheck. Loustarinen and Priskie are expected to report to Florida’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Springfield Thunderbirds (AHL).
Luostarinen, 21, has appeared in eight career games with Carolina (2019-20), producing one assist. The 6-foot-3, 184-pound native of Silinjarvi, Finland, won the Spengler Cup in 2018-19 with KalPa in Liiga, posting 36 points (15-21-36) in 54 regular season games.
He was originally selected by Carolina in the second round (42nd overall) of the 2017 NHL Draft.
