Hockey season might be over for most of the Blue Jackets, but not for goaltender Joonas Korpisalo. The 23-year-old goaltender has taken the starting role for Team Finland at the IIHF World Championships in Germany and France, producing several highlight reel saves.
The Blue Jackets organization is also represented on Team Finland by Markus Hannikainen, who has produced four shots and a +1 rating through three games.
Korpisalo has started in all three of Finland’s preliminary round games, going 1-0-1-1, good for 4 standings points. Finland next takes on Slovakia.
