The first Tennesse native to play in the NHL, Blake is a product of illustrious hockey programs at Culver Military Academy, the United States National Team Development Program, and the University of Wisconsin. Over the course of an impressive amateur career, Blake won a state championship with Culver in 2003, a gold medal at the World U18 World Championships in 2006, a bronze medal at the 2007 U20 World Junior Championships, and the Hobey Baker Award as the NCAA’s Top Collegiate Player in 2010.

Drafted by Nashville in the 2nd round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft, Blake spent parts of three seasons with Nashville and Montreal before retiring in 2012 due to health concerns.

Blake currently serves as the Assistant General Manager of the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL.
